Auraa Aerospace designs and engineers all its drone platforms entirely in-house, using approximately 90% locally sourced components. This includes our proprietary TR4 flight controller, power distribution boards, battery packs, and airframe systems. Indigenous development means faster after-sales support, lower lifecycle costs, and direct alignment with the Government of India's Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative — making our drones truly Made in India.
Auraa Aerospace co-organised the "Flight of 1000 Dreams" — a landmark STEM initiative involving 1,932 students from 27 schools and 2 polytechnic colleges who simultaneously flew 966 handmade gliders at Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science and Technology, Thanjavur. This event earned official recognition from both the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records. We are also recognised by StartupTN, IIT Tirupati, SIDCO, and the Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce.
Yes. We have successfully executed projects internationally, including windmill inspection in Singapore and the Seed Tree project in Israel. Domestically, we have deployments in Maharashtra (hyperspectral inspection), Kerala (LiDAR mapping), Karnataka (large-scale agricultural drone spraying), and multiple events and expos across Tamil Nadu. We are actively expanding our international footprint through our Dubai investor network.

Yes. Auraa Aerospace is a DGCA-aligned RPTO (Remote Pilot Training Organisation) provider. Our pilot licence training covers ground theory, regulations, flight simulation, and practical flight hours on real UAV platforms. Graduates receive certifications recognised under India's UAS Rules framework. Batches are available for both individual candidates and institutional groups.
Absolutely. Auraa Aerospace runs STEM aviation education programmes specifically designed for school students, polytechnic colleges, and engineering institutions. These include hands-on glider building, model rocketry, drone flight demonstrations, and career guidance sessions in aerospace. Our "Flight of 1000 Dreams" initiative — which set national and Asian records — involved students from 27 schools, demonstrating the scale at which we operate.
Yes. Auraa Aerospace offers structured internship and in-plant training (IPT) programmes for engineering and polytechnic students. Interns get hands-on experience in drone assembly, avionics, testing, software integration, and field operations. Internship durations range from 2 weeks to 3 months. Institutions with an active MoU receive priority placement and co-branded certification under the Skill India framework.
Products & Technology
4 questionsAuraa Aerospace manufactures a range of multi-role UAV platforms including multi-rotor systems for aerial photography, surveillance, and inspection; fixed-wing UAVs for long-range mapping and reconnaissance; agricultural drones for precision spraying and seeding; and custom defense-grade platforms designed for tactical and surveillance applications. All platforms use our indigenous avionics stack including the TR4 flight controller.
The TR4 is Auraa Aerospace's proprietary, indigenously developed flight controller — the brain of our drone platforms. Designed entirely in-house, it supports multi-rotor, fixed-wing, and hybrid configurations with real-time telemetry, autonomous navigation, and fail-safe systems. Because we manufacture the TR4 ourselves, we can provide faster firmware updates, custom integration, and superior post-sales support compared to imported alternatives.
Auraa Aerospace supports a wide range of modular payloads: RGB cameras (4K aerial photography & mapping), thermal/IR sensors (infrastructure & security), multispectral cameras (crop health monitoring), hyperspectral sensors (industrial and agricultural analysis), LiDAR scanners (precision terrain mapping), and FPV systems (first-person view racing and events). Payloads are hot-swappable on our modular platforms.
Yes — through Auraa Avionics, we manufacture and supply standalone avionics hardware including the TR4 flight controller, power distribution boards (PDB), LiPo/Li-ion battery packs, and battery management & charging systems. These are available for purchase by OEMs, research institutions, and individual builders. All components are designed and tested in our Madurai facility.

Auraa Agri is our smart precision farming platform that connects farmers, certified drone pilots, and drone owners into a unified ecosystem. Farmers can book drone spraying, seeding, and crop monitoring services directly. Drone operators can register their equipment and receive consistent service work. We have executed large-scale agri-drone spraying operations in Karnataka and are expanding to Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra. Yes. Auraa Aerospace actively engages with government bodies, defense organisations, and PSUs for drone procurement, demonstration, and R&D collaboration.
